My buddy and I decided to try the house specialty and ordered a medium- sized pizza. Assistant restaurant manager Jane C. Moreland gave us a menu so we could choose our toppings. It required real effort to refrain from checking all the items on the list as everything sounded delicious. We ended up selecting five — ham, extra cheese, pineapple, pepperoni and mushrooms.
Jane recommended a small pizza instead of medium for the two of us and we agreed. We could order another one anyway.
When our order arrived, my eyes almost popped out because lo and behold, the “small” pizza was so big there was no way we could finish it even though we were really hungry.
My buddy and I devoured two slices each in world record time but were fighting a losing battle to finish one more.
My buddy offered to split the third with me. Fair enough but we took the rest of the pizza to our rooms so we could resume the “attack” later.
